In 1996, Heredia graduated from the School of Architecture at Vargas University in Caracas, Venezuela. Upon graduation, he was immediately granted a professorship to teach courses on architectural history and design. While teaching at Vargas, he also maintained a career as a certified architect.
After coming to New York City in 1999, Heredia crafted interiors for legendary designers Fendi, Dolce & Gabana, and Hugo Boss. His private collection of work—featured at exhibitions across North America—has been described as possessing a strong sense of order, geometry, and space. Through his use of naked hardware, light, and reclaimed or "up-cycled" materials, Heredia conveys zoomorphic forms that are both elegant and stark, crossing the boundary between sculpture and furniture—between architecture and art—with work that is as conceptually impacting as it is environmentally forward.
